A little bit about me and my art. I have been making jewelry my whole life. Back in the old country, Germany that is, I began as an apprentice with a Master Goldsmith and graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Hamburg. Since 1975 I have had my own studio in Germany as well as working as a freelance jeweler with various workshops and galleries. In 2003 I immigrated to Canada and have spent the last ten years in the jewelery industry in Toronto. That really helped me to apply my old world skills to the North American jewelery marketplace. Time well spent. And now I've returned to running my own studio. To immerse myself in current trends and technology I have become a member of Jewel Envy, a Toronto based collective of goldsmiths, glass artists and designers. I am currently working on a new jewelery line characterized by my life long fascination with clear lines, glass and colour.
